Edinburgh rock is (1) the volcanic plug on which Edinburgh castle stands or (2) a soft seaside confection (it's crumbly where proper seaside rock is hard).

I Googled and admired pictures of the lovely rock and the awesome castle that does appear to grow out of it. perhaps i should add volcanic plug to my interests? the candy appears to be a lot more popular!
